An amazing resource on the SAIC campus. The student price for SAIC students is just $4 with your ARTICard. This is a gem for the film aficionado, as well as the casual moviegoer. The Siskel Center presents independent, international, and classic documentary films throughout the year and hosts a number of film festivals.

Chicago Filmmakers is a not–for–profit media arts center that supports independent filmmaking and was founded in 1973 by SAIC graduates. The organization hosts weekly film screenings of experimental films, local projects, well as producing two film festivals a year. Chicago Filmmakers provides resources for independent filmmakers, including equipment rental.

Film, theater, and video. The film and video showings include international and avant–garde films. The video sales and rental store offers a wide range of choices, including some foreign–language and cult videos you may not find elsewhere.
