Experience at SAIC

The printmedia facilities at SAIC are really great. My graduate advisors always challenged me. I was continually impressed with our selection of graduate advisors and the discussions I had with them always made me think more creatively.

Personal statement

The compositions of my work are made up of symbols and geometric marks in my landscape. The world that we live in has become filled with symbols of the glorification of technology that has become characteristic of our society today. My work incorporates these symbols through prints and site-specific installations that illustrate the psychological world. These works convey a sense of wonder and a symbiotic relationship between organic and artificial, systematic and disorder, accident and control that coexist in today's society. The process to build the space shows the transformation from functional goods to visual elements and from tangible objects to poetic imagery. My work reveals the spatial realm of architecture, technology, animation, and geometry.
