The Teacher Institute in Contemporary Art and Technology (TICA-T) is a one-week professional development program designed for high school educators interested in expanding their educational practice into the exciting world of media arts and exploring ways in which technology can open up new art and design learning opportunities for their students. Facilitated by visiting artists working with a variety of digital arts approaches, TICA-T investigates the areas of animation, electronics, film, sound, and video and the vital connections that exist between them. Participants work on individual and collaborative projects and have access to a broad range of computer software and media equipment. Conversations on the latest trends in digital production and curriculum planning and sharing are included.
