NEW for Fall 2016: Designed to support individual students' immediate creative goals and long-term aspirations, the Certificate in Studio Art and Design reflects SAIC's interdisciplinary art and design curriculum.

Requirements can be completed in one year at a rate of two courses per semester and include the following:

The sequence of electives can take many forms to suit the individual needs of the adult learner, emphasizing personal enrichment, preparation for further study, and more. 

Below are three examples. Choose one, or create your own custom experience.

Completion of the Certificate in Studio Art and Design requires a portfolio review by a Continuing Studies faculty member, submission of a signed Certificate Program Completion Form, and a minimum of three (3) digital images from the student's body of work.

Note: Required courses may not be offered every semester (fall, spring, summer). Please contact Continuing Studies for suggestions on organizing your course sequence.
