Adult Programs: Certificate in Studio Art and Design
Designed to support individual students' immediate creative goals and long-term aspirations, the Certificate in Studio Art and Design reflects SAIC's interdisciplinary art and design curriculum.
Studio Course (1)
- Studio: Surface, Space, Time
- Reflecting the degree program's interdisciplinary approach to an art and design education, all 30-hour Adult Continuing Education courses are eligible electives for all certificates
Culminating Course (1)
- Critique and Exhibition
Total required courses: 6
The sequence of electives can take many forms to suit the individual needs of the adult learner, emphasizing personal enrichment, preparation for further study, and more.

Completion of the Certificate in Studio Art and Design requires a portfolio review, submission of a signed Certificate Program Completion Form, and a minimum of three (3) digital images from the student's body of work. The Certificate Program Completion Form can be found on the Forms and Downloads Page.
Note: Required courses may not be offered every semester (fall, spring, summer). Please contact Continuing Studies for suggestions on organizing your course sequence.
