The Early College Program for High School StudentsThe Early College Program (ECP) at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) provides excellence in pre-college, interdisciplinary art, design, and creative writing education by focusing on contemporary practices that develop visual and conceptual skills, facilitate portfolio development for college admissions, expose high school students to SAIC faculty and institutional resources, and offer opportunities for high school juniors and seniors to earn college credit.Courses for CommutersLocal students may participate in our fall, winter, and spring weekend courses, plus any of the summer offerings. These courses are open to all high school students, while juniors and seniors can earn college credit.Summer 2012 Commuter Session DatesTwo weeks: June 1829Two weeks: July 213 Two weeks: July 1627 Two weeks: July 30August 10 Five weeks: July 9August 12 Learn more Summer Institute with Residency OptionsThis nationally recognized summer program is open to local, national, and international high school students who are currently sophomores, juniors, or seniors. These two- and three-week courses offer students the chance to earn college credit and fully immerse themselves in an intensive college preparatory experience in a leading school of art and design in one of the nation's most vibrant cultural cities.Learn more Summer Registration is Underway!Students enrolling in Early College Program commuter courses can register through our online registration system, in person, or by mail.Learn more Students interested in participating in the Early College Program Summer Institutes must submit a Registration Packet for review and acceptance in to the program.
