The Early College Program for High School Students

The Early College Program (ECP) at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) provides excellence in pre-college, interdisciplinary art, design, and creative writing education by focusing on contemporary practices that develop visual and conceptual skills, facilitate portfolio development for college admissions, expose high school students to SAIC faculty and institutional resources, and offer opportunities for high school juniors and seniors to earn college credit.

Courses for Commuters

Local students may participate in our fall, winter, and spring weekend courses, plus any of the summer offerings. These courses are open to all high school students, while juniors and seniors can earn college credit.

SPRING 2012 COMMUTER SESSION DATES:

Ten-Week Session: February 11–April 22, 2012
Open Registration begins: December 5, 2011

Summer Institute with Residency Options

This nationally recognized summer program is open to local, national, and international high school students who are currently sophomores, juniors, or seniors. These two- and three-week courses offer students the chance to earn college credit and fully immerse themselves in an intensive college preparatory experience in a leading school of art and design in one of the nation's most vibrant cultural cities.

Beginning with the winter session registration period, students enrolling in Continuing Studies courses, intensives, and camps will be able to register and pay online. Please click the link to registration, costs, payment, and aid for more details.
