How SAIC Compass Works
SAIC Compass is our online platform that’s home to for-credit or no-credit internships; full-time, part-time, seasonal, or freelance jobs; volunteer positions; and call-to-enter opportunities. It also provides students and alums with direct access to CAPX advising appointments, workshops, and events. Each employer, internship, and job posted to Compass has been approved by CAPX and posted directly to an SAIC-exclusive network.
Students and alums have the opportunity to create their own personalized profiles that link to their résumés and portfolios or websites. Then, they have the option to make their profiles visible to employers.
Students and alums can also schedule individualized advising appointments with CAPX advisors by visiting the “Career Experts” tab in Compass. Students and alums can view and register for CAPX workshops or events by using the “My Events” tab.
Click here to learn more about for-credit internships or visit one of our CAPX Internship Info Sessions every Tuesday this fall.
Employers use SAIC Compass to fill several different types of positions including internships and full-time, part-time, and freelance job opportunities. Employers create accounts, request to connect with SAIC, and, once reviewed and accepted, post internships or job opportunities to Compass. Employers also have the ability to search and “favorite” students and alums who have made their profiles visible.
