Directions to Campus

The School of the Art Institute's campus is located in downtown Chicago.

Located in the heart of downtown Chicago, SAIC is served by two major airports, O’Hare International and Midway, as well as by an extensive public transportation network. Below you'll find directions to our campus, as well as information about parking and a campus map.

Public Parking

Mid-Continental Plaza Building at 55 East Monroe Street (between Wabash and Michigan Avenue)

East Monroe Street and Millennium Park garages
(enter at Columbus Drive and Monroe Street)

Grant Park south garage
(enter at Michigan Avenue between Van Buren and Adams Streets)

Grant Park north garage
(enter at Michigan Avenue between Madison and Randolph Streets)

From O'Hare

By train: Take the CTA Blue Line train to the Monroe stop, walk 2 blocks east to Wabash Ave. Turn left on Wabash Ave. to arrive at SAIC's Admissions office, 36 S. Wabash Ave. The fare is $5.00.

By cab: Cabs from O'Hare take approximately 45 minutes, and the cost ranges from $40-50.

From Midway

By train: Take the CTA Orange Line train to the Madison Street Station (Madison Street and Wabash Avenue). Walk south on Wabash 1/2 block to 36 South Wabash Avenue, Sullivan Center, 12th floor. 

By cab: Cabs from Midway take approximately 1/2 hour, and the cost ranges from $40-50.
