Nick D. Weiss

Midwest Territory Manager

I’m an artist, educator, and administrator living and working in Chicago. I received my BFA in Photography and Studio Art from Columbus College of Art & Design in 2015. I have taught a variety of pre-college courses ranging from middle school drawing to high school alternative photography. Through documentary photography, fiber-based installations, and alternative photographic processing I create bodies of work that all stem from a personal narrative and provoke conversations about queer communities and culture within a contemporary context.

Preregistration Day and ARTBASH

Sunday, April  8

10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

School of the Art Institute of Chicago
280 S. Columbus Dr.
Chicago, IL 60603

This special event is the perfect opportunity for admitted freshmen students to join us on campus to preregister for fall classes, view the work of current first-year students, tour campus and our residence halls, get all of your questions answered, and more.

  • We will begin the day with an introduction to the many ways SAIC influences the visual landscape. You will walk away inspired. We promise.
  • You can preregister for your first semester classes and ensure you get your ideal schedule. You can choose Research Studio and English course topics and your choice of studio elective.
  • Every year, we exhibit the accomplishments of our first-year students in a show called ARTBASH. You will get to tour the exhibition with first-year program faculty.
  • Representatives from Admissions, Financial Aid, Career Services, SAIC Internships, and Student Affairs will be on-hand to answer all of your questions.
  • You can tour campus and residence halls. Walking the campus, seeing the state-of-the-art facilities and incredible residence halls, checking out the work all around you, and reading the various notices up on the walls and bulletin boards is a great way to get a sense of what life at SAIC is like.

Please note: There are limited slots available for preregistration. Slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
