You are invited to the SAIC at Homan Square Open House

The Homan Square Open House will be an exciting time for SAIC's students, faculty and staff to see to the North Lawndale neighborhood, SAIC's new space in Nichols Tower, and what we do:

  • Open Studio for Fall Artist in Residence Cheryl Pope
  • Unveiling of the public pavilion BLUMEN, Grow | Light | Community, an AIADO summer class led by artists Petra Bachmaier and design Iker Gill
  • Listen to beats by DJ & Sound Artist Sadie Woods, the August AIR
  • Check out a Car Show, Fashion Show and Dope Dialogue by July's AIR, Mashaun Hendricks
  • Rae Chardonnay, August AIR, sound artist, DJ and Westside art coordinator, presenting her project Black Utopia
  • See our classroom and learn about our Continuing Studies courses in North Lawndale
  • Food and live music 

Transportation to Homan Square Open House

Buses will be available for all students to Homan Square as well as drop off back to campus outside Rubloff Auditorium on Columbus Drive.

The first bus will leave at 4:30 and second will leave at 4:45, 5:00 and 5:30 p.m.

The buses will start returning back to campus from the Homan Community Center at 7:00, 7:25, 7:45 and 8:00 p.m.
