A sculptor, performance artist, writer, and filmmaker, Josiah McElheny is best known for his use of glass with other materials. He has written for such publications as Artforum and Cabinet, received a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship, and since 2001, he has been a Senior Critic in Sculpture at the Yale School of Art. McElheny is the subject of multiple monographs including Josiah McElheny: A Prism, published by Rizzoli, and author of publications including the artist book on German writer Paul Scheerbart titled The Light Club.
