Exploring a Black Vernacular

Felicia Mings is an MA candidate in Visual and Critical Studies. She is interested in the intersections between artistic practice, art education, and community development, specifically within the work of emerging African-Canadian artists. In Exploring a Black Vernacular, Felicia will integrate social mapping, art historical analysis, and biographical stories to situate the significance of photography projects by emerging Toronto artists.
