The Visual Communication Design Department and the Society of Typographic Artists (STA) Student Chapter at SAIC welcome renowned designer Charles S. Anderson for a presentation and discussion, where he will be awarded the STA Honorary Member award for years of exemplary design service.

Anderson is head of Minneapolis-based Charles S. Anderson Design (CSA), established in 1989. CSA is widely known for its partnership with French Paper, creating memorable projects that encompass everything from limited-edition posters packaging to a dedicated online store called Pop Ink, featuring CSA-designed home decor and gifts. CSA's unique interpretation and reinvention of design history and visual pop culture has been utilized by many brands including Juicy Couture, Lucky brand, Barneys, Paramount, Ralph Lauren, Target, and many more. Anderson also runs CSA Images, a Pop Culture Resource of illustration, design elements, and type. This growing collection showcases his passion for commercial art, and is inspired by the entire history of modern design.
