Saul Ostrow is an independent critic, curator, and is Art Editor at large of Bomb Magazine. He was Co-Editor of Lusitania Press (1996–2004) as well as the Editor of the book series Critical Voices in Art, Theory and Culture (1996–2006) published by Routledge. His writings have appeared in numerous art magazines, journals, catalogues, and books in the USA and Europe. Since 1987, Ostrow has curated over 70 exhibition in the US and abroad, about half of these have focused on issues of abstract painting and formalism, the others have addressed various aspects of art production. He presently serves on the board of directors of the College Art Association and the Advisory Board of the journal New Observations.
