Painting and Drawing Graduate Student Noontime Lecture: Kristy Luck

Thursday, February 13, 12:15 p.m.
Columbus Drive Building, 280 S. Columbus Dr., room 317

Kristy Luck grew up in Rockford, Illinois, a place repeatedly rated by Forbes magazine as the third worst city in the United States. Her work stems from a daily meditative drawing practice, which she credits to early childhood habits. Growing up in a crowded house of children, she spent much of her time working on coloring books inside the forts she would build in her bedroom closet and under beds. She received her BFA from Rockford College in 2010 and is currently an MFA Candidate in the Painting and Drawing department at SAIC.
