My work explores the ignoble beefcake at the intersection of glamour photography and figure drawing. I am interested in the often disregarded underdogs of watercolor and comics for their manipulability, susceptibility, and simplicity in depiction of things. It is my intent to uncover socially sublimated forms of eroticism in the male body. My paintings and drawings work through conventions of representation subverting or enforcing social and artistic protocols and norms.
