Graduate Lecture Series: Salim Moore

Solomon Salim Moore graduated with a BA in art history from Reed College in 2011, moved to Chicago in 2015 to pursue a post-baccalaureate degree in studio at SAIC in 2015 and an MFA the following year. His images explore the how fantasy influences reality and, conversely, the ways in which non-fiction is more bizarre than fiction. He works from a from a variety of sources including the ancient world, folk music, images old and new, and the slow aspects of day-to-day living.
