Andrew Blackley Visiting Artist Lecture

280 S. Columbus Dr., room 220
Friday, November 16, 12:00 p.m.

Andrew Blackley lives in New York as a writer and curator. Recently organized exhibitions include: WhiteWalls: Writings by Artists, 1978–2008 (Golden Gallery, New York), Randolph Street Gallery Archives (Fales Library and Special Collections, NYU), and Martin Wong, Sketchbooks (Joan Flasch Artists’ Book Collection). His published writing focuses primarily on printmedia and printmaking, including critical essays addressing the contemporary receptions of REALLIFE and WhiteWalls magazines. Blackley’s text-based artistic practice engages with sexual and aesthetic identification, process defined as both reading and writing, and the efficacy of poetry on the body.

This event is open only to the SAIC community.
