To complement its collaborative exhibition with the Art Institute of Chicago, Material Translations, the Fashion Resource Center is pleased to present companion programs. Material Innovations, a morning symposium led by visionaries in the fields of fashion and designed objects (Reiko Sudo, Co-founder of Nuno; Jeanette Puig-Pey, Global Fabric/Leather Design Manager for the Lear Corporation; and Carlie Berna of Material ConneXion). Making, an afternoon of concurrent workshops, features Fraser Taylor–Heat Press Workshop, Chris K. Palmer–Fabric Pleating Workshop, and Beata Kania–New Embroidery Workshop.
