The School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s (SAIC) Department of Design for Emerging Technologies is rooted in the belief that future designers will need to be thinking designers. We offer you a challenging curriculum housed in the Department of Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Designed Objects (AIADO) and presented in collaboration with the Department of Art and Technology Studies.

This Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program focuses on the rapid pace of technological change transforming the boundaries between traditional design disciplines and develops skills that will help you lead the design world into the future.
