Visiting Artist Lecture: Tim Roda

Tuesday, April 14, 3:00 p.m.
Columbus Building, 280 S. Columbus Dr., room 156

"Although the final product of my work is bound to a traditional silver gelatin photograph or film, it travels through installation, performance, and documentation. In all my photo or video-installations, I strive to achieve an underlying seriousness to subjects of the family, ethnic identity, religion, race, class, and Italian patriarchal culture through absurdities and satire on film and through photographs," says visiting artists Tim Roda.

Roda received his BFA from Pennsylvania State University in 2002 and his MFA from the University of Washington at Seattle in 2004. He is represented by the Greg Kucera Gallery in Seattle, WA; Gasser Grunert in NYC; Daniel Cooney Fine Art in NYC; Galerie Michael Janssen in Berlin, Germany; Nasim Weiler Contemporary in Hamburg, Germany; and the Angell Gallery in Toronto, CA.
