A Conversation with Master Shen-Long

Master Shen-Long is a Zen Buddhist master and literati artist (master of the "three perfections" of poetry, painting, and calligraphy). He has exhibited his work internationally and conducted public talks on many Buddhist scriptures including the Platform Sutra of the Sixth Patriarch Huineng, the Heart Sutra, the Sutra of Infinite Life, the Amitabha Sutra, the Essential Annotation on the Amitabha Sutra, the Chapter of Chanting Amitabha in Whole Completeness to Become Buddha by the Dashizhi Bodhisattva (Great Strength; Mahasthamanparapta) from the Suramgama Sutra, the Suramgama Sutra, and the Vimalakirti Sutra. His recent publications include The Spirit of the Dragon (2012), Amitabha (2013), and Prajna (2013).

This talk is in conjunction with ARTHI 4850: Zen and the Arts and is free and open to the public. Seating is limited.
