Master of Arts in Modern Art History, Theory, and Criticism and Dual Degree MA Thesis Symposium

Graduating MA students receiving their degrees in Modern Art History, Theory, and Criticism present their research in a symposium of focused short lectures on topics from across the history of modern and contemporary art and theory. The day is organized into panels around shared themes. The event kicks off the evening before (May 1, 6:00 p.m., SAIC Ballroom) with a keynote lecture by Julia Bryan-Wilson (Associate Professor of History of Art, University of California at Berkeley) titled "Cecilia Vicuña and the Problem of Thread".
