Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Designed Objects: News and Events
October 13 and 14, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Sullivan Center, 36 S. Wabash Ave., 12th floor
Now in its second year, Chicago Open House is an event that makes historically significant buildings across the city accessible to the public. The Department of Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Designed Objects, located in the Sullivan Center, is giving the public a chance to enter the Sullivan Center's "zero/zero" lounge at the very starting point of Chicago's number grid, a vantage point that allows the rare opportunity to see Louis Sullivan's cornice work, which corresponds to the organic details of the rest of the historic building.
