The Telegraphic Fields (Next Transmissions) exhibition was the culmination of a yearlong exploration into the depths of SAIC’s 150-year history by students enrolled in the class SAIC 150: Repeat Transmissions. Through archives, historical narratives, and SAIC-community reminiscences, the exhibition presented responses to the School’s history in a diversity of media. The complexity of the students' research delivered individual and collaborative projects that activated an expanded sense of SAIC’s campus. Students presented practices, narratives, and dialogues that reflect SAIC’s core values, embodying the students’ relationships to the last 150 years of creative exploration through meaning, making, scholarship, and history within Chicago and beyond.
